old radios were "crippled" by narrowbanding

I am just starting to do research on this county but I think they have
approx 25 fire stations - with probably a minimum of 2 trucks per
station - so thats 50 trucks - but they are only buying 10 mobile
radios ?????

they are on the Alabama border - so I will check to see what freqs
they use in Alabama - and I should check adjacent countys for freqs
