"shrink 1.0; fraction by which to shrink the colorbar"
should be something like
"shrink 1.0; fraction by which to scale the size size of the colorbar"
since the original wording implies that a bigger shrink causes a smaller size.

That wording is unclear. Could you open a PR on github to fix that? For
small wording changes like this you can do it through the github web
interface.
