Thanks. This is definitely a bug. I just fixed it in SVN r7858. http://matplotlib.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/matplotlib?view=revrevision=7858 Unfortunately, this requires a recompile. You can build from SVN, or download the 0.99.1 tarball and manually apply the above patch. Mike Yann
