The matplotlib installers for Windows are built with the user-access-control=auto option. Otherwise they would not work correctly with UAC on Windows Vista and 7. See also http://www.mail-archive.com/matplotlib-users@lists.sourceforge.net/msg13466.html. I can provide eggs for the next
