There's a small annoying bug in mc: If you 'ssh' to a box, and then 'su',
the Xauthority token is not valid anymore, and instead of ignoring the X11
connection problem, mc exits and displays the following error message:

I have similar experience even with mcedit without VFS -> data loss when
disk quota is exceeded, the edited file is truncated to zero
