*(Face to Face Interview after Phone Round)* *This is a fantastic opportunity to join or team as a Senior-level resource and team contributor. We are seeking candidates who have a minimum of 7 years IT experience and significant hands—on skills in building, deploying, maintaining and enterprise RHEL Servers, with an emphasis on OS Hardening / Security and Performance.* *We’re seeking someone with expert Red Hat Enterprise Linux, who has also worked with HP Hardware before – particularly Proliant DL-series servers.* *Our client’s environment consists of a large number of Hewlett Packard Proliant Storage servers (DL 380+), and a Fiber Channel SAN Environment. Prior experience with HP hardware is a big plus!* *The Senior RHEL Engineer’s responsibilities will include * - Serving as a Senior Engineer within a smaller-sized (4 person) Systems Engineering team - Handling the ongoing design, deployment, configuration, troubleshooting and administration for RHEL Servers - Setting up and managing Linux Kickstart server builds, including the automation & provisioning process. - Handling all aspects of Red Hat Linux Security and Hardening, monitoring, performance tuning, patching and server upgrades. - Working with HP tools, including HP Insight Manager, Openview, Nimbus, Nagios or other monitoring platforms to proactively assess the health and performance of production systems. - Providing technical expertise and support for the Fiber Channel / SAN connectivity on HP Proliant DL series hardware (DL 380+) - Evaluating the Linux Server environment as it relates back to the Database and Application Servers, ensuring constant availability, capacity and performance. *REQUIRED SKILLS* • Minimum Associates Degree with 5-7+ years IT experience in an IT related field • Expert Red Hat Enterprise Linux Engineering skills • Strong Server Security and hardening experience • Hands-on experience with HP Performance tools, including HP Smart Start, HP Insight Manager and HP OpenView. • Shell scripting – UNIX Shells, Perl or Python required *Regards,* *Karan Tyagi,* *United Software Group Inc. * * 565 Metro Place S.
