Title: Microsoft Dynamics AX Functional Consultant posted on 2014-04-22 09:43:21 Job Description:*Position: Microsoft Dynamics AX Functional Consultant* *Location: Onsite Lyndhurst, NJ* *Duration: Long Term * *Start Dates: ASAP* *Rates: Open : W2 or C2C* *Job Description* The Microsoft Dynamics AX Functional Analyst, will be responsible for the design of the financial modules in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. As a software analyst developer you will work with the business to build solutions to meet the business requirements while providing leadership, technical guidance and best practices. The role will report to the Director of applications. *ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES* * Design, develop and test integrations and customizations to Microsoft Dynamics AX. * Work in collaborative development team to iteratively construct enterprise software solutions. * Provide architectural recommendations to efficiently build various Dynamics AX solutions. * Responsible for all activities leading to the successful implementation of small to medium projects through their entire life cycle. * Work with internal customers to develop functional business system design and solutions. * Collaborate with other members of IT on best practices around Dynamics AX design and development practices. * Assist with other application related development efforts as needed. * Build System oriented architecture with reusable components. *SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE* * 5+ years' experience with software development and programming. * 5+ years' experience integrating business systems. * Working knowledge of Web Services. * Working knowledge of SQL Server Database, SSIS, SSRS, Performance Tuning, Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, etc. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX from a technical and/or functional standpoint is highly desired. * Familiar with XML. * Experience with business processes as they relate to Finance is highly desired. * Experience with Salesforce is highly desired. * Ability to develop and write systems and applications documentation. * Ability to work as a member of a team as well as individually. * Ability to mentor other team members. * Ability to take initiative, be detail-minded and possess the ability to handle multiple assignments at once while meeting strict deadlines. * Excellent Customer service skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Experience with one or more of following development platforms C#, .NET and X++.
