Title: Senior Test Engineer posted on 2014-06-19 15:42:39 Job Description:*Senior Test Engineer responsible for integrating* and testing applications for various machine-to-machine (M2M) applications and communication platforms. The Test Engineer will perform test planning and execution on various applications, features and/or protocols which will include end-to-end system verification in an Agile Development environment. System knowledge – experience with Microsoft Server OS and Linux OS Be able to navigate around the system to view configuration/setup, processes, logs, make changes configuration/ setup to isolate the issue Required Skills/Experience: • Integration and performance testing of web services, reporting, portal based applications • Experience in scripting / tool development in shell, perl, SOAPUI, SilkPerformer or equivalent tools to generate various load conditions, measure system performance, parse logs, or system statistics output to generate summary reports. - Experience in performance test of single component or multiple component using simulators on either end, and performance test of integrated environment. Add'tl Skills: • Experience in Client/Server applications a must (including web services) • Ability to perform test planning and test cases development based on user stories or high level feature concept reviews. • Ability to perform exploratory testing over and above a list of test cases based on requirements / user stories. • Possesses mature debugging and troubleshooting skills • Experience in PERL, bash or similar scripting languages • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Experience in Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Desired Skills/Experience : Experience with Wireless 3G/4G Device with technical inclination to understand cellular infrastructure and system capabilities SOAPUI or equivalent Web Services test tools HP quality center or equivalent tools for tracking test and defect management NO travel required. However, involves work during the night for software deployment to production.
