The System Administrator is responsible for ensuring the Museum's network
and systems are high performing with as little disruption as possible. This
includes installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of
networks, servers and systems related to the IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities also include conducting technical research to enable
continuing innovation within the IT infrastructure, end-user operations and
deployment of technology in service of the Hammer's mission, exhibits, and
programs. Responsibilities include tracking and logging server activity,
performing upgrades of server based software, maintaining data center and
networking hardware, addressing questions about technical problems,
improving efficiency by evaluating system network functions and documenting
system configurations and changes.
