Re: [MCN-L] CZur book/document scanner Indiegogo

2015-11-12 Thread Glen Barnes
We’ve just ordered one to test out. I’ve got a DIY Bookscanner kit which
I’m just getting my head around and it will be interesting to see how this
scanner pans out. I’m really interested in using cheap but good hardware
for digitising local heritage. I do wonder how hackable it will be in terms
of storing images locally and coming up with your own workflow but for $200
it is worth a punt.

I will post something when we finally get a hold of it.

Thanks

Please do!  I know that’s something else we’re interested at the Carnegie
Museums.

[MCN-L] Cases for Android devices

2015-11-12 Thread Glen Barnes
Hi All,

There seems to be a few options for protective cases for iPods and iPads
around but I haven’t had any luck finding cases for Android devices. Does
anybody know of decent protective cases for rental devices for Android
based devices? We haven’t selected any hardware yet so it could be for any
reasonably modern phone/tablet. Also charging solutions that would work for
multiple Android devices would be good.

And recommendations appreciated!

Thanks

Re: [MCN-L] Siriusware/Wordpress integration

2015-11-12 Thread Jerry Powell
We are just evaluating WordPress as a possible new platform for our current
custom website; if and when that migration happens, then we'd definitely be
interested also. But it's a little premature for us right now.
