Good Morning All:We are busy working on the plans for our conference upcoming in November in Pasadena. One of the things the Executive Committee has been wrestling with is workshops. In the past we have had a few workshops with a reasonable attendance. MCN Needs You!!!!!
Have you ever thought about getting involved in the wonderful experience of conference planning? The benefits are great. You bond with your colleagues for a good cause. Conference planning for 2006 in Pasadena is underway. We have positions available that allow you to get involved. Would you like to be the conference co-chairperson who's responsibility is to over the program aspects of the conference, the sessions, workshops and help with the final conference program? Erin Coburn has again agreed to be the chairperson of the program committee and she is wonderful to work with. Then there is the workshop committee who needs a chairperson and members, interested? We also need help on the marketing/vendor committee, the publicity and the local arrangements committee. You can be on the local arrangements committee even if you don't live in California as phone calls can be made from anywhere in the US. Being involved in the MCN conference could be your destiny! Seriously, folks, we need the help so please give it some thought and volunteer today to help today! Hi All! We had a great conference this year and those of you who couldn't make it were certainly missed. I just wanted to let you all know that the IT SIG has a change in leadership since the conference. Janice Craddock from the Amon Carter Museum in Fort Worth has agreed to assume the duties of Chairperson. Congratulations Janice! Since you are all so swell to work with I know you will give Janice your cooperation. I know I am leaving the SIG in good hands. Thanks for your support and friendship.
