Re: [MCN-L] CZur book/document scanner Indiegogo

2015-11-12 Thread Glen Barnes
We’ve just ordered one to test out. I’ve got a DIY Bookscanner kit which
I’m just getting my head around and it will be interesting to see how this
scanner pans out. I’m really interested in using cheap but good hardware
for digitising local heritage. I do wonder how hackable it will be in terms
of storing images locally and coming up with your own workflow but for $200
it is worth a punt.

I will post something when we finally get a hold of it.

Thanks

Please do!  I know that’s something else we’re interested at the Carnegie
Museums.

[MCN-L] CZur book/document scanner Indiegogo

2015-11-11 Thread Perian
Has anyone else looked at this $200 scanner? It's a little different
than the formats we've seen previously, and promises to offer some
automatic OCR, image cleanup, straightening and trimming features.
