Re: [MCN-L] Computer inventory management software that's actually...good?

2016-05-24 Thread Bryon Thornburgh
We recently deployed Lansweeper (http://www.lansweeper.com) and so far we seem
pleased with the solution. I can't speak to any configuration requirements to
make the scanning of the network work, but I would be happy to put you into
contact with our Manager of Technical Support if you wish to chat further about
the product.

I believe we pay $500 annually for Lansweeper.

In full transparency, Lansweeper replaced a spreadsheet, so just about anything
was going to be an improvement for us.

Subject: [MCN-L] Computer inventory management software that's actually...good?

Is anybody out there using a computer inventory management software they can
truly say they like? I've dabbled with Spiceworks. You certainly can't argue
with the price (free), but I'm annoyed by the firewall configuration required
to make the software work. I'm happy to purchase something, especially with
nonprofit pricing, but I'd want to actually, you know, work. Thoughts?
