education department. The job posting for Digitial Media Coordinator is now

The Digital Media Coordinator is primarily responsible for producing
educational multimedia content to support the Museum's collection,
exhibitions, and related activities.  This is a full-time, exempt position,
who reports to the Senior Museum Educator and the Head of Academic Services.

Responsibilities

  *   To utilize a range of technologies such as digital video production,
web site development, and interactive media to produce compelling content
that will enhance on-site experiences and also serve as independent online
resources for diverse audiences (adults, families, students and youth,
educators);
  *   To collaborate with multiple departments?including education,
curatorial, publications, and graphic design?to adapt existing material or
produce original content that meets the Museum?s interpretive goals,
deepens visitor engagement, encourages personal creativity, and enriches
public appreciation and understanding of art;
  *   To coordinate all stages of project development, including
pre-production storylines, video/audio scripts, and descriptive text; and
to manage and edit visual resources such as digital reproductions, video
footage, graphics, and other assets;
  *   To provide other assistance to the Education Department as assigned.

 Qualificiations

  *   BA or BS required; multiple or advanced degrees with a concentration
in art history, art museum education, or new media strongly preferred.
  *   Interest in and knowledge of art and/or architecture are essential.
  *   Strong computer skills including basic HTML and a variety of software
programs and platforms; technical familiarity with media production editing
tools and software; currency with new developments in multimedia solutions,
technologies, delivery, and user-interface design.
  *   Strong writing, project management, collaborative, and organizational
skills are required.
  *   Energy, enthusiasm, creativity, initiative, and innovation are key
qualities for this position.
  *   Occasional weekend and evening hours may be required, as part of the
department-wide support of education programs.
