You need good IT security no matter what OS your collections database
runs on. Linux is somewhat better than Wind

KE EMu for our database software.EMu can run on either type of

We're using KE-EMu, and it's running on a Unix system. My understanding is
that their Windows Server version actually just runs in a Unix emulator,
so that adds a little bit of complexity. Emu related maintenance is still
run in a Unix shell either way.
