Hi Everyone,

At Wiki Education we're continuing to serve our community during the
COVID-19 pandemic. We know you're likely adjusting to a new routine of
working from home and may be looking for virtual projects and networking
opportunities, especially after upcoming conferences may have been
cancelled. With our tried and tested online training infrastructure, we
truly believe we can offer you and your colleagues an online project with
real institutional impact that complements your new work environment.

April 15 - May 20, 2020 | Elevate Your Collection | Wednesdays at 9am PST

https://wikiedu.org/wikidata/intermediate-course/

Does your GLAM institution have a special collection or focus you wish the
world knew more about? By sharing related institutional data on Wikidata, the
open data repository behind Wikipedia, you can use your institution’s
unique identifier to bring exposure to your data, drive traffic to your
website, and situate your institution as a leader with that collection. With
online meetings once a week via Zoom, Elevate your Collection will
give you one-on-one
coaching from our Wikidata experts, the chance to conceptualize online
projects for your institution, and a network of your peers cheering you on.

"Using Wikidata to enhance and build our oral history project's structured
knowledge base allows the collection to continue to be more utilized,
valued, and fulfill the project’s goals." - Jake Kubrin, Metadata Librarian
at the Stanford Law School Robert Crown Library*. *Read more*: *

If your team has shifted to more online work, or if a conference you
planned to attend this spring is now cancelled, we hope our online courses
can help you continue to meet institutional goals *and* allow you to stay
in touch with your constituents where they are... online.

Join our latest trainings by visiting data.wikiedu.org to learn just what
Wikidata can do for you. The registration deadline has been extended to
next Friday April 10th.

During this difficult time, we are offering group discounts and financial
aid for anyone who does not have access to professional development funds.
Check out our registration form linked above for more details about the
course and our financial services. You may also email me at any time with
questions.

Best,

Samantha
