Hello everyone,

My colleague and I will be presenting at MCN 2017 in Pittsburgh and we need
your help!

We are inviting museum professionals as well as consultants, contractors, and
business owners who provide services to the museum community to respond to our
completely anonymous Digital + Museums Salary Survey:
https://mcndss.tumblr.com<https://mcndss.tumblr.com/>. This survey has 26
questions and should take you no more than 10 minutes to fill out. We will be
presenting the results on Friday, November 10th at 2:00pm in our session
"Radical Transparency: A Digital Salary Study."

There are great resources for those seeking comparative salary information in
the for-profit sector, and AAM's Comparative Museum Salary Study aims to do the
same for the museum profession. That report, however, falls quite short for
digital folks and our complex and sprawling titles, roles, and
responsibilities. We want to build a new tool that can help hiring managers
advocate for a fair wage for these kinds of skills and to give prospective
employees information to help them negotiate a salary commensurate with their
expertise. Without good, comprehensive data, how can we make a case for more
competitive benefits that will retain smart, capable digital staff in museum
professions?

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions, and we thank you
in advance for your participation in and enthusiasm for this effort!
