 Dear colleagues,

I wonder if anyone has had use of social media engagement within their
museum or specific cultural institution? Particularly, in terms of my
Master dissertation research I am working with social media adoption for
cultural heritage interpretation by example of Lithuanian museums. At that
moment I am applying a social media strategy to National Art Gallery in
Vilnius (Lithuania) in terms of digital engagement framework - how to
enhance visitor experiences through the use of social media channels,
explore new methods of interactivity, etc.

I need good practical examples of social media engagement in museum/
gallery practice (strategy - step by step). Can anyone provide me with
 valuable suggestions?

I would be more than grateful if anyone makes a contribution to my
 research.

 Thank you in advance.

[MCN-L] Social media engagement in museums

2013-12-15 Thread Stephen Brown
Hi Ilona, there has been quite a lot of use of social media in museums. A
good place to start researching this would be the archives of the Museums and
the Web conferences available at http://www.archimuse.com/conferences/mw.html.
See also Museums and the Web Asia.
