We’re happy to introduce Nancy Sims, who will be kicking off SEI with Part 1 of our Intellectual Property Module. Nancy Sims is the University of Minnesota Library’s subject specialist on copyright issues. She is both a librarian and a lawyer, has extensive experience working in academic libraries, and is fascinated by the pervasiveness of copyright issues in modern life. Nancy advocates for policies and practices that support sustainable scholarship, democratic information access, and public participation in cultural heritage collections. She blew away the audience with her copyright knowledge and presentation style, and has been coming back ever since! We’re excited to welcome her back for her third year in a row and think it’s pretty cool that SEI brings people like this together, don’t you?
