When will convertUserOptions.php be run by update.php? I see newer users
have their preferences stored in a different database table than older
users. Will they be merged one day or just used in parallel forever?

I'm having a problem with categories that are template-updated. The templates
are set to add a category at a certain number of days after the template on the
page is updated, which should then be picked up by DPL to keep a to-do list
up to date (it's supposed to track farm chores), but the
I'd like to have a parser extension that would copy specific text from
a category page to all of its subcategories. I'm imagining that it
would be something where there would be a tag to mark text to
propagate below to all subcategories, sub-subcategories etc, and
another set of tags that

There's no particular reason to by default, since they're updated on
demand and we try to avoid unnecessarily slow updater steps. Feel free

Hi Mediawiki folks,
I am trying to set up authentication for our existing wiki against an external
database. I currently do this successfully for my subversion database using
Apache's mod_auth_pam module. For our wiki, I would like to use a similar

I have a client with a product that's on Wikipedia, absinthe,

incorrect URL to the old site which they want changed.

Is there anything we can do other than set the page to watch and
just undo this guy's changes whenever he puts them in?
Thanks!

Hi Ryan,
Thanks for your response! You were right. I changed my if statement in
