Got reminded of this; took a prelim look and it seems there's an issue with the HTTP 'Range' requests Safari is making on the video; img_auth.php doesn't support these natively and it may be going awry. Filed as https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T122858 on the low-level issue, should be able to
