Thank you! That was a quick response and exactly the information that I
needed! Adding the port immediately fixed the problem.
I did not try providing a port because the documentation at
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:$wgSquidServers#Usage_notes_and_history

%2FSpecial%3APluggableAuthLogin
The redirect_url is computed by the code at [0],

I double checked the Short URL manual page [0], because you mentioned that
you planned to switch to short URLs due to this issue. We do not use short
URLs, so there must be something else going on. What struck me on the
manual page, was the following:
MediaWiki's default page addresses
_SERVER['PATH_INFO']. Generally speaking, this is true provided your

Hi, Scott.
Some background: by default, MediaWiki core enables two authentication
providers, LocalPasswordPrimaryAuthenticationProvider and
TemporaryPasswordPrimaryAuthenticationProvider. Setting
$wgPluggableAuth_EnableLocalLogin
to false removes those two authentication providers from the

On March 30, we announced that we were temporarily pushing back the release
of MediaWiki 1.35 due to uncertainty resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
We are now ready to begin the process of moving forward with the release.
The first step is cutting the release branch, REL1_35, which will occur
to seeing you in Portland!
