it seems to be just a little mistake in the units used for definition
of the simulation. I always get this message when the PMLs are thicker
than the simulation volume.

What is the size of your lattice and what is the size of your

In my experience, this error occurs when your lattice dimensions are not
large enough to hold both your structure and the PML layers. Define your
