Dear all,
I need to understand why Harminv sometimes gives quality factor (Q) values
that are negative. What does exactly mean? As I understand, the negative
sign means that the system gains energy instead of loosing it (positive
exponential), but in the cavity I am checking, that can not be
Hello Matt,
the output seems to be truncated, is it that what you are also seeing when
you refer as funny effect?
I want to help, but I don't understand very clearly the following lines of
your program:
(define-param kdir (vector3 (cos theta_rad) (sin theta_rad)))
(define k (vector3-scale (* 2
Hello meep users,
I have problems trying to calculate the Q factor of a single defect cavity.
I am using the values given by Harminv as a reference.
Here I send the CTL code. Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong? Why the
calculation of energies with Een, f1 and integrate-field-function does
Hi J D,
what Nizamov is true. You have to specify another file when using -A. This
option puts the dielectric for example as background, but you have to
specify the other file with the field (for example).
Another thing: you use z=1, z=0. Take into account that these numbers are
not coordinates
