Dear Steven and Meep users, I would like to know if my use of force detectors is actually allowed by the theory and implementation of Meep. They function and provide answers, but are the answers reliable given the way I am using detectors?
I have distributed force detectors along the central axis of an axially symmetric resonant cavity. Eleven detectors end to end. The cavity is evacuated so the detectors are in vacuum and they are smaller than the diameter of the cavity so do not intersect the metal it is made of. I know that it is valid to use detectors outside the geometry. Is it also valid to use detectors inside the geometry?
