They look cool, but I think they can be better.
If you look at any device manufacturer's photos, they always show the screen of
the device clearly and from a right angle, and there is no glare nor shadows.
If they have multiple devices, at least one is shown this way.

I think the trick is to have enough ambient light so you don't have to use
the flash, also to have the phone standing so that the shadow(if any) is
hidden behind the phone.

I think that the shadow is excellent effect. My opinion this is served
better with a non corporate style pic. And Simonas solo N9 was superb in my
humble taste :-)

I like the setting of the picture, but the image quality is what
concerns me. The pic is blurry and has high amount of noise. The colors
aren't that good either.
I myself have superb optics to take professional looking pics. What I
don't have is a fancy N9, just my ol' scratchy N900 :(
