I was wondering how you were going to get the addition in the the
middle of winter! How long are they estimating it will last?
We don't talk about the schedule anymore. I'm not actually
worried about that, but the original estimate was 7-8 weeks
from when construction could start.

UPDATE, I did find the drivers for that SM bus thing, but that was not
the problem apparantly. It seems that when windows did its update, it
downloaded a hardware update for something called idealcom HID
touchscreen ps/2. So now it thinks I have a touchscreen and not a

My new 300D has always used way too much oil to suit me, and had a leak I
couldn't spot (besides the front crank seal, anyway). I finally took a good
look last time I changed oil, and found a very dirty oil pan, but still no
obvious leak. Uses a quart in 1000 miles in normal driving, more

It's quite a shame. Software keeps getting worse as computers get
faster, such that you can't do much more with a new computer than with
an old one. There seems to be more customer demand for new features than
for improvements in overall quality, and making the old features
actually work
