I used to have my os9.2 Wallstreet set up on my wife's 10.4 desktop, so I think it was possible at least at that level... but I have no idea how I did it anymore. I'm pretty sure it was over Appletalk but I may have had to install or configure something (developer's CD maybe?). Or maybe 9.2

I'll also look in the basement, I think I have some USB1.1 cards with a pretty common chipset. I can try them in wife's 10.4 system when she's out of the house... It seems that a Sonnet Tango 2 claims that it'll work in just about anything, with just about any Apple OS. They want around $45
