I don't turn a rotor to remove an edge. Mount it on a drive wheel and
spin slowly while I use a 4 disc grinder to remove the edge.
That's what I do. Makes getting the calipers on and off
much easier!

Yes they'll run, but good luck getting fuel at a filling station. A
hand-powered pump to pull fuel from the underground tanks would be
helpful but that's probably the least of your problems at that point.

EMP will take out the glow plug relays.
I could bypass the relay, just put a manual switch in there. The
starter might not take the voltage spike though? Would not want to
resort to hand cranking. Might have to do some rewiring to get
everything happy again.

The glow plugs can be started by directly jumping them- connect a jumper
cable between the battery and terminal on the relay, and then start the
engine.
I really doubt that the starter or battery would be affected by an EMP
pulse.

vs turning one, it's that once there is a distinct lip on the rotor, the pads
on the dual piston (not floating piston calipers) will contact the anti-rattle

I've also had a screen clog up in the intake of
the expansion valve. That, at least, is easy to

Theres a 220D on there now with a column shift. I didn't even know
they came with column shift.

The old one was quite gunked up.
We unscrewed the hose from off the screen and fuel barely dribbled
out. Socket would fit on the screen nut, but not able to get a handle
onto the socket as the half shaft was in the way. The

If the gunk was black, you need to put stanadyne Biocide in the tank
per instruction on the package.
