getting the new mechanism installed. Like I said, I'm disappointed
with the replacement, etc. I haven't installed it yet, and I may not.

models like I almost bought before I got mine (no sunroof, manual windows, no

Some years ago I stuck a coat hanger in the nub of the antenna on the
TD, it gets better radio reception than the real antenna (for which I
got a replacement mast, courtesy someone on the list some years ago), so
there it stays, and has not been ripped off.

The aftermarket Blaupunkt in my 300D is junk -- lots of fancy
functions, none of which work well, it cuts in and out, and the
volume control is spastic.
Not what they were in the old days.

My boy is at UPenn in Philly doing some pre-med stuff, I'll keep that in
