Make sure that the wall ground is good, then check all the other grounds on the guitar, jack plate, pickups, bridge, etc. Does the hum go away if the Bass is unplugged from the amp? Or does the hum reduce once you touch a metal part of the guitar, including the strings? Good luck. Ed 300E On

I would look for a bad cap in the power supply. Bad filter cap would sound truly nasty in some way, but wouldn't keep it from working altogether. Unless this is some weird-ass digital thing, and not a traditional analog amplifier. -- Jim ___
