BUT, that was when it was new. Frankenheap sort of suggests it might
not quite put out what the factory designed it to do, at this stage in
its life.

I can't take full credit for it, I'd read about using weld as a way to get
pistons out of stuck tractor engines. In fact at some point I'm probably going
to need to do it on my 1928 Farmall.

Easy way to get pressed in sleeves out, too, although you must be
VERY careful to avoid significant penetration of the weld to avoid
welding the sleeve to the block rather than shrinking it.
MB wheel bearings will always drive out. The factory tool helps
quite a bit on tight ones, but a
If the car follows cracks in the road, something is loose in the
front suspension. Ball joints, tie rods, drag link, idler arm

Check the ball joint by jacking the front end up and supporting the
lower control arm. Pry upwards on the tire at the bottom -- if
Y'all must either be busy eating turkey or resting up for Black Friday

today but now I understand most of you folks do this from work.

This is a bit unusual. It is a make an offer sale of unsold school

Hello from InterSchola! Make us an offer!
I have noticed on my 87 300D when going down the highway about
about 60 or so, if you floor it the torque seems to push the rear
end to the right a little bit. What would cause that? Something
worn out in the back would be my guess.

Ummm - the rear links in that car are shot, and possibly the subframe mounts

I have seen worse thats for sure. I had planned on replacing them
anyway but the torque deal was something I had never seen, or
noticed, before.

I, for two, post from home. The traditional roasted turkey and all the

The wind has died down, the temp is dropping to 20+ tonight - then off to
Grandpa's tomorrow to start over again.

Don't worry Rusty, I'll be getting more parts soon, at least front and rear
main seals. Holding off till I know what all else I might need for this

On Nov 25, 2010 8:29 PM,
Rained cats and dogs here all day, good thing since we are something
like 12 inches short of rain this year. First decent rainfall since
June, I think.
Gonna be cold and clear tomorrow, that's even better since I have a
300 mile drive!

Rear links are bad, just replaced mine. Not a bad job, really, just
a pain to get a wrench on the bolts. Makes it ride MUCH better, even
with only one side done!
