Might also want to check the air cleaner for mouse nest blocking the
intake. I've seen that happen.

My friend CB rented a tiddler somewhere in France last year and stopped to
top it up. Didn't get far when it quit because, yes, it was a diesel but so
quiet (Renault, I think) he didn't catch on.
