I just bought a near-perfect 2008 MacBook 15 on ebay from a very decent
seller. Can't find a scratch on it. It's FAST and beautiful; the only
negative is the battery only holds a 30 minute charge and needs replacing.
Any recommendations on what sort of battery to purchase and how much to

So what is OBDII?
If the OnStar FMV (For My Vehicle) is a stand-alone unit, why does it need
anything other than 12V DC? I'll try to find out from "horse's mouth."

See, yellow is not so bad.
It's not the yellow that bothers me, it's the automatic tranny in a 300GD.

I believe what the gauge is showing is the outlet pressure from the oil filter.

I agree. If your pressure is that low at hot idle you are either using too
light an oil, you have an oil pump problem, or your engine is just really worn.
If the pressure is always pegged, could mean a stuck relief valve.
With any abnormal readings, it's a good idea to verify the actual pressur
Why don't you change the oil and the filter and eliminate the possibility? If
this car has the oil filter stem with o-rings, change those as well.
Oil pressure is measured via an oil feed line from oil filter housing area to
the gauge.

Part of the problem is electrical, either a loose or corroded wire from battery
to starter or ground. The other part is a dormant obstinate engine. Pull start,
then fix the wiring at your leisure.

On the older engines there's a tube or pipe directly connecting the engine to
the gauge. The gauge reads the actual physical pressure. The gauge should be
pegged during driving and should indicate at least 1 bar/15 PSI at hot idle.
I think the newer engines have an electrical sender. Not sure
On the 61x there is a a tube that runs from the oil filter housing to
the gauge. I also believe there is a oil pressure relief valve in the
area, I could be wrong.

I think we'd be better off removing political/campaign contributions all

corruption. That will happen long before corporations lose their citizen

I see TiBooks for a few hundred dollars or less quite often. I have been
tempted, but I really don't need another laptop.
I just got a Newton from a Mac buddy who was going to toss it.
Is this the model that was blowing shock absorbers in the outback?

Not too many six-cylinder 5-speed 201s around!
The transmission and clutch setup would be worth having to transplant
elsewhere, then you could sell the rusty leftovers for scrap.

If flow is low, pressure will usually be low.
