You have O-rings. You will probably spend less time
replacing with the wrong one than you will bypassing,
and if the end game is viton replacement anyway just
do it twice. The non-viton material will last well
over a week without leaking!

I just bid on two 23 Apple Cinema Displays from a recycler. Neither has a
power supply, which seems to be pretty typical for these. From what I can find
out, the power supplies were dodgy at best, and prone to failure.
They can easily be repowered with generic 5.0 amp 5VDC switching supplies

Neither system works if you don't put chain oil in the proper port.

the crush washer.
As everyone else has stated, the seal replacement is pretty straightforward
once you get the nut off the yoke/pinion. It does take a special deep socket.
