This afternoon I had some time to trouble-shoot the central locking system on
my '87 wagon. The system had not worked correctly from purchase in 2004.
Initially only the driver's door lock would activate the system. The rear hatch
lock tumbler is damaged and the key won't turn it,
I agree, I think its euro also. I noticed a few other differences besides the
hubcaps: Curved euro trailer hitch, no nets on seat backs, 2 piece bumper
rubber, no wood in shifter console, white dipstick, no front fan which probably
means no A/C (optional in europe). The antenna is either

I just had a Mac buddy give me a Pioneer high end receiver that's about 8 years
old for the cost of shipping. Looks like one of the hybrid devices that serves
as an amplifier is toast. $12/each, and three are
Bummer on the length - very disappointing, I'm sure. ATTABOY over all.

Here are links to a couple of photos.
The interior photo doesn't do it justice - the wife complains because she keeps
wanting to turn off the lights when she leaves the room (but she likes the
results, which is what I intended to achieve.) There's a halo from a lens
flare due to the sunlight.
I have this pretty nice Sony receiver I bought a coupla years ago off CL
for cheap, was working great until it took a power hit when our power
went off. I did some googling and determined it is likely something on
the main circuit board but I haven't dug into that part of it as it is
kinda

Filler tank seal under door flap ??? That's what my leak was; thanx to

without the factory ACC pushbutton controls. Could this have been a
European delivery car? Would they have sold a car with Euro specs to a

Installed the Velux “Sun Tunnel” yesterday. While it was a bit of an ordeal
working in the attic, as the location where this went was in an area close to
the bottom of the roof, for the most part it was pretty straightforward.
My only complaint, and it is a complaint, was that the “length” of

You can see from the linked picture of the interior that it's pretty
unobtrusive and flush with the ceiling. If the fixture sticks out 1/4 that
would be a lot.
Mine is a 14 diameter model. They make them in 10 diameter, too.

I don't think I'd call it a dire situation, the snowmobile scene is great!
I went out on the trail groomer Friday night into Saturday, left at 6pm, got
home at quarter to 2am. Its a bit like watching paint dry crawling through the
woods at 5mph but its rewarding to see a nice smooth trail

this afternoon. I have plenty of the metal tape for ductwork, so I used that
to hold it in place. I couldn't tell any difference, so I have to assume it's
OK for now.
