Yes, but I don't picture myself on a highway with Smart. I barely see
highway with W123. Plus, I already said to all of us, I like to be
dirt... I think. Not having talked to anyone that has been there, I
guess this is all conjecture.

I think they are Dangerous. They might be practical in Europe where most cars
are smaller. BUT, here in the US, I couldn't imagine being on a highway with
trucks, SUV's, and Semis and driving in a Smart. It looks like a way to get

No UV blocking that I know of, but I'll have to look at the product literature
to be sure. Right now it's tough to detect any heat load from it, but I'll
check on the next sunny day and see. This particular location doesn't get a
lot of direct sunlight until later in the year when the sun is h

Then again, maybe not!
What a way to separate gullible audiophiles from their money!
That is inspirational, Dan. I am sold. Do you apply one of those films on
the lens to block the UV and lessen the solar insult - or is that
unnecessary? I'm thinking of doing this to my upstairs skylights.

My 60s vintage Blaupunkt MB radios used to blow out the power
transistor on the back. I successfully had those repaired several
times. I liked the Balupunkets as they were a one piece solid state
DIN mount radio, VS the Beckers with a separate tube amp stashed
somewhere.

I've had very good luck keeping things with real power switches
going. Things with push-on/push-off always on circuitry,
and switching power supplies --- not so much. The TV got fixed,
