Kaleb, My 1980 300SD has clear coat, but my 1983 300D does not. Now the 300D did have a rear end bump and the crazy shop put clear coat on the rear which now with age does NOT match the front 3/4 of the car, plus its peeling off. Don't know why the shop thought it had clear coat. Best Wishes,
