What keeps the rain off the paper filter?
Mitch.
I have certainly never heard of it but it's the only thing that makes any sense.

I was scanning tubeyou for some videos of the local club show and shine for a
new member and came across the last time I saw Woger and his C300. The list is
just not the same with him gone. Not as desolate as when Dr. Booth passed.

Series II would definitely have had Lucas electric. No one would accuse them of
being reliable. Easily repaired maybe...
Actually that makes me think of an interesting question, of course we'd all
want to have a very reliable vehicle that was easily maintained and repaired
but what if you
Unless it's prone to being disabled for an electronics glitch that would
cost $000s to fix...

The ones I drove were at least 10 years older than the one being auctioned.

Good off road maybe, indestructible assumes you could keep it running long
enough to crash into something. These were not known for their reliability
although I think by series III they'd gotten away from Lucas electrics.

Looks familiar. I guess the high asking price is b/c the radio and
steering wheel have been updated at great expense.

This could be fun if the price doesn't get wacky. I drove Land Rovers in
Fiji for 3 years - they are indestructible and quite peppy (gas models that
is).

Several people have done the Vendee Globe now and also RTW
circumnavigations without any diesel. The hydrogenerators are very
efficient and allow them to carry less or no fuel to run water and coms
gear, which makes boats lighter and faster.
Cargo could all go back to sail. Speed is the cost.
Oops, never mind, I thought it said E300, not E320. Stinking gasser

I like the E300, price is maybe a little high due to the limited options
(no heated seats, no headlight wipers) but it does have leather seats that
appear to be in nice shape.

I will give them the blame for the haze, but the traffic is something that has
just become worse with each passing day since 1980. I blame the Kalifornikators
