Quartz, or tick-tock? They are _very_ different inside. The quartz
114/115 clocks are a nightmare to open up.

Really 3 speed. Same as in the R107 with M117
If it is well tuned, a person might be able to eke out 15mpg in mostly highway
driving.

The one in my 220D was less accurate as time went on. I needed to synch it by
10 minutes each week.
The capacitors can bee swapped out, which may handle the timing issue. There
also seemed to be a gearing issue, where it was skipping a tooth

I've never seen/done a 115 but I repaired the clock in my '83 240D back in 2003
when I first got it. It still worked fine when I junked the car in, geez I

Sometimes, not often (and Chucktown craigslist looks terrible compared to my
local Craigslist) I see a water cooled 12-16hp Kubota lawn tractor in running
condition on CL for $400-800. There's one for $800 right now. (and no, it
wasn't made in the 1970s, but late 1980s is possible)
5 Kw would be ok, I'd like a little more but I've got to balance capacity
against price and foot print, space in my garage is precious.

purchased my 1980 300SD with 186,000 miles, it was physician owned. Even
though she didn't drive the car daily, she had it in to the MB dealership here
in Atlanta for its full service. I obtained the service records
