I would suspect the hose long before blaming the caliper.
Has the system ever had DOT3
I had that happen to me once on an early VW bug. I managed to open the bleeder
and relieve the pressure, and that somehow was a permanent fix. Definitely
(defiantly) weird!

I think the waste gate is supposed to be right around 14psi for my 617.950, I
doubt any 617 is over 20psi stock.

night I noticed it was running about 90C where it generally runs about 80. Just
as I got to the house it ran up almost to the red zone at 120 so I guess
coolant must have been blowing out. I could smell it too.
How old are the hoses?
