None of my 1/5 scale RC 2-stroke gas RC car engines have carbs with tamper
proof screws, just slotted type screws. Of course, the carbs cost half the
price of a cheap weed whacker. As long as I run it dry or clamp the fuel line
shut after a run, they start right up the next time out.

I think Kaleb is right. The need is greater for lighter oils in colder
climates for better lubrication from cold while the engine is warming up
than anything.
I ran the Mobil 15w-50 in my OM 602's and OM603's and did pull samples and
found that 15,000 miles was OK, but I usually changed at 12,000,

The engine will run hotter than it gets in AZ so the need to run a heavier oil

15w50 is probably a little better in your climate than 5w40 but only a marginal
difference. I'd probably use whichever is cheaper...

I use Mobil 1 Truck and SUV oil in all my diesels, it's rated for the OM603 and

In my climate we use Mobil1 15W-50 at 5000 mile intervals. Some would say
that’s too soon, but an oil change is cheap insurance and I don’t mind the
