You can thank honda for introducing that concept. I think it was when
they brought out the 4 cyl 750 in 1970 or so. NO air filter. To
replace the air filter you were supposed to buy a whole $70 assembly
that included an air filter.

I have a 3,1 sitting in the closet as my backup machine. It’s my former Mac Pro
that I simply retired when I got the newer dual processor 4,1 (flashed to a 5,1
of course). Took me all of maybe five minutes to move everything over. Swap the
HD trays, the video card and I’m done.
I run El Cap on
To be honest I rarely use the laptop's own keyboard. I don't do the
coffee shop thing. Usually I'm docked, either at home or in the camper,
and so have a real keyboard.
