Keep the stereo and I'll take the car for $1,500.

One reason I'm so determinedly DIY-biased. It's hard to know that you have
engaged
competent and honorable service, and it's almost impossible to pay someone to
care
about the results half so much

They would not, nor should you jam power to them under any circumstances.
Not on a car with memory seats. The switches are just inputs to the seat
computer(s) that are under the seats. Applying power to the inputs

It’s fixed. Upon arrival tested the contractor, it was showing .8 ohms,
shorter. Replaced contractor, hooked up the wire that the first contractor
removed from control board, system fires right up. Between a home warranty
company and 2 contractors they couldn’t figure this out? Diagnosing time

Get a duplicate. Not expensive. I don't know why someone would limit the market
for a car to those willing to buy without a title. Most places you can't even
sell it for scrap without a title.

STOP ME This is probably the ISM is not shifting and so the car
won't start and wheels won't move. How do I know this?
We have a 07 S550 Mercedes AMG that doesn’t run. The transmission
control module is bad in it. And needs a new battery. The problem is the
transmission control module
S320? Worth maybe $1k as is for a project risk, but looks decent
Currently not running. May have transmission issue? Vehicle has been
parked in the driveway for extended period of time. Body and interior in
great shape. Mechanical issues unknown.
S63. Could be an interesting deal.

That’s pretty much it. Sort of like the “special edition” models they tart up
at the end of a production run that have minor, but distinct, options or
differences. Like my former 400E that was a “special edition” - it had
different wheels, stainless door thresholds, and burl instead of zebrano.
