[MBZ] The 09 Bluetec is drinking oil

On the 700 mile trip home with it, it didn’t use any oil. Of course the batwing was cracked and probably not really sealing to the turbo. New batwing, full service including all fluids and filters, new tires, new motor mounts. I have taken it to St Louis once and on the way back the oil message

Did a remote session with my buddy today to get the “new” ISM programmed. Took some gyrations, had to pay MB for a software image of the car as he didn’t have it for this kind of unique vehicle. $231 so not bad. Got it done, looks good, no faults, will get it installed back on the tranny

My 124 has leather rather than MBTex. I’m a real fan of MBTex because it wears like iron. I suppose leather is an upgrade. The seats are in great shape with hardly any creasing and no tears. But, the leather is not soft. It’s almost hard. It is very smooth and I don’t want (or need to) change
