So with a quick scan of BanzWhirled’s W163 forum, it seems that fuel gauge issues aren’t uncommon. The float or whatever is used is inside the fuel pump, so if it’s not installed correctly or just boogered up, you have to replace the pump. That said, people are saying that powering the car
