Might even be in the glovebox owners manual, perhaps in the Troubleshooting
section if there is one, ie. "why won't the car start..."

There is a module on the 211 that is connected to the airbags and
ignition and whatever else, apparently the fancy computer is needed to
do some resets too. I posted in benzworld, will see if I get any info
on what this car has and where it is and what needs to be done with it.

Typically, the crash shutoff relay trigger is hidden in some obscure place,
like the Pax side foot well, or in some area that is out of the crush zone.
The idea is to disable the electrical system to prevent a "Hollywood crash
fire". Might be worth a call to AAA, or a Dealer to find the location
So back to the crash --- I am presuming there is some sort of ignition
cutout somewhere so that when the airbag deployed it shut the car off.
Now it won't start or turn over, still has power etc. Is that in the
airbag module? Or is there a reset somewhere? Need a computer to reset it?
Not much issue with that here in ANC. Not that many multi lane roads. Once out
of town it is two lane roads with the occasional slow driver turn outs. Summer
is a rolling blockage with the tour busses full of cruise passengers and a
parade of rental RVs competing with the locals on their way
Even if I’m doing the limit, if the doofus in the right lane is tracking me at
the same speed, I’ll speed up enough to pass them and get over. Florida is like
the absolute worst for this sort of driving asshattery.
I get on the freeway to go to/from work and get in the right lane and set my
Yes, UNLESS they are doing the speed limit. You have no right to expect
someone else to let you drive over the limit - at least you shouldn't. OK
now has a law so you can be fined for "blocking the left lane" - I now call
the left lane the "no limit" lane. Where is the respect for the law and
We need to petition the police to lower their tolerance for people sitting in
the left lane, its becoming a real problem.
I hate it when I'm in the left lane in a line of traffic and somebody pulls in
behind and flashes their lights. Where exactly do you think you're going to go?
Worse still
Coming back from camp last month somebody was behind me tailgating like crazy.
I was kind of tired and the road was small and weaving so I pulled over and let
them roar off. Caught up at a stop light a couple miles up. When the light
changed he roared off like the devil was on his tail. He got
Nobody pays attention to visual horns. When I am behind a moron riding the
left late I flash them to move over so the line of cars behind them can pass.
They are either oblivious or just don’t care.

Yeah, that’s what I’ve done as well. I might even inadvertently hit my “visual
horn” after they’ve passed me.

In those cases, I slow down and pull over, let the jerk go by, they have the

Hard to do when Bubba is behind you with his HF LED light bar on the front
bumper of the jacked up truck, putting it right in your line of vision.
I would like to take a baseball bat to those things.

Wow, that is frustrating. When I encounter that, I flip on my brights.

I downloaded my dashcam vid and watched the segment from crashing into
the tree. I see now why I did not see the tree, some guy with EXTREMELY
bright mis-aimed headlights stopped the other side of the tree, and the
light blinded me until I got right up on the tree, by the time I
