IME PLA is easiest to print, but not too strong and may melt in a hot car interior. ABS is stronger, but harder to print and may have objectionable outgassing. I like PETG for moderate ease of printing, strength and appearance. It is the stuff that soda bottles are made of.

There are a number of different materials to print with, all of which have different characteristics depending on what you’re printing. The most common material is PLA, but it’s probably not ideal for something like a key head.
