Yeah, while I was scrolling through the various values for my script I saw at
the end of the ranges there were some serious upcharges. Never noticed that

I have a couple of (now discontinued) Garmin cameras around somewhere that
would be good. Solidly built, high quality items. I haven't used them in
several years and I don't recall if they just record until the card is full or
if they have a mode that will start overwriting the older content so

Of course not, no more than the speedometer itself needs to.
It's just math. Divide miles traveled (fractional is OK) by hours
taken to do so (ditto). There's your answer. The longer the timebase
or distance the more precise the result.
I buy fairly cheap cams off Amazon, sometimes they are on sale. They
all seem to have the same "engine" in them, the more expensive cams have
GPS and speed and other features that I don't find particularly appealing.
