My takeaway from the video is that Pierre orders R4 compressors that are
specific for Mercedes Diesel. In other words, the seal seat is the "tell"
but they are not generic R4 compressors.
Regarding the fuel issue, agree that a "comes and goes" problem probably
isn't the IP, but I don't

i watched the florida mechanic's video on R4
all he said that makes them "mercedes specific" is that they have machined
areas around the rear seals which all of the ones i've ever had did have
and he just buys them from world pac (some korean ones)
no mention of upside down
